The Pilates exercise technique is a set of principles, corrective exercises sometimes using specialist equipment which works to create whole body balance.

Thus it co-ordinates the upper and lower musculature with the bodies centre. This dramatically improves strength, flexibility, posture and co-ordination.

The technique can be used for general fitness, postural rehabilitation and cross-training with other forms of sport or exercise.
