In recent times there has been a tremendous upsurge of interest in health, both in terms of keeping oneself healthy and in looking at ways of treating illness. As part of this interest, more and more people are concerned with finding COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES which deal with them as whole individuals, and the aim of the Bath Natural Health Clinic is to provide a setting where these ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES are available.

The basis of these COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES, such as ACUPUNCTURE, HOMEOPATHY or OSTEOPATHY, is to stimulate our own healing energy in order to restore balance. To do this it is necessary to look beyond current symptoms and seek the cause of ill-health, not to use treatments which suppress our healing efforts. Treating the cause often means changes in lifestyle and a re-education of attitudes, with a realisation and acceptance of self-responsibility for our health. This is perhaps the most exciting challenge for us today, and it is as important as the treatments themselves. By providing a range of such holistic therapies, with trained qualified practitioners,and by exchanging information on preventative health care, we hope that the Clinic will make natural medicine more accessible and improved health more widespread.
