Acupuncture

Acupuncture needlesAcupuncture is an ancient system of healing practiced in China and the Far East for at least 2,500 years.
It is considered that by inserting fine needles at specific points on the body's surface, the flow of energy in the body can be influenced.

This flow of energy can become disrupted (and thereby cause illness), due to many factors, such as emotional states, trauma, stress, poor nutrition, infections etc. Essentially the needles influence the body's energy states and stimulate our healing mechanisms when they become overwhelmed.

Since acupuncture is looking beyond the immediate symptoms of an illness and instead to the underlying energy state, there is the potential to help a very wide range of conditions; basically any condition where the body (with a little help) can mobilize its own healing resources.
